Kickoff in Freienwill!
Finally the time has come. After lengthy consolidation discussions between the Wasserverband Nord, the municipalities involved Freienwill and Großsolt as well as the municipality of Hürup, an agreement was reached: the wastewater from the municipality of Hürup will be treated at the wastewater treatment plant in Freienwill in future via a new transport pipeline from Hürup to Freienwill. The Freienwill sewage treatment plant is cleaning the waste water from the Freienwill and Großsolt communities since several decades. The responsible authority, Wasserverband Nord, fulfills at KA Freienwill the tasks of waste water disposal. In 2019/2020, our office had already worked out the first drafts for the expansion, but also for the renovation of the sewage treatment plant, as the sewage treatment plant in its current expansion size has now been in operation for 25 years.
The result that the municipality of Hürup will be connected to the sewage treatment plant Freienwill, was our kickoff to complete planning, approval and tender in 2022 in order to start construction in 2023. Without the support of our client, the Wasserverband Nord, its specialist planners and experts involved, as well as the quick cooperation of the approval authorities, we would certainly not have gotten the drafting off the ground so quickly. It shows that -if all institutions involved pursue the same goal - such a project can also be implemented quickly.
