Planing contract of Wesermünde water association for energy optimization at the sewage treatment plant in Bad Bederkesa
In the beginning of the year 2017 enwacon engineers achieved at an engineering competition the assignment for the energy optimization of the Bederkesa sewage treatment plant. The sewage treatment plant is operated by the Water Association Wesermünde. The main focus will be on the central compressor station and the ventilation system, which usually generate the largest electricity consumption on a sewage treatment plant. The precise regulation of the air volumes into the two existing aeration basins used in future as combination basins ensures an optimum quality and will also save energy costs. In this context the regulation of the aeration step has to be considered and re-planned.
In addition a new and central layout for a low-voltage main distribution has to be designed for the sewage treatment plant Bederkesa (12,000 inhabitants). Up to now, the low-voltage main distribution (NSHV) has been set up at several locations (inlet area, mud treatment, operating building and machine building), but should be centralized at a new location that still has to be set.
