The enwacon engineers won by a VgV procedure the planning and renewal of the Borstel sewage treatment plant of the research center in Borstel

In the sewage treatment plant takes up the wastewater of the research center and the hospital sewage as well as the municipal wastewater of the areas around the district of Itzstedt that are located north  of Hamburg.

The following plannings will be carried out:

• Basic determination for future expansion
• Enlargement of inlet area with renewal of sand trap
• New aeration, preferably as an SBR reactor
• Optimisation or new disinfection treatment because of large inlet of hospital sewge
• New sludge treatment and sludge dewatering
