Our office in Bonn wins VgV proceedings and receives the contract to plan the rehabilitation and optimization of the sewage treatment plant in Bacharach.

In a Europe-wide tendering process, we received the overall planning contract for the rehabilitation and optimization of the Bacharach sewage treatment plant at the Rhine. The sewage treatment plant cleans the waste water of “Rhein-Nahe” municipality and has a capacity of approx. 18,000 inhabitants. Existing buildings, as well as technical facilities at the sewage plant are deficient in many areas, which induced the association to fundamentally upgrade the sewage treatment plant. The focus is on aeration. An existing „carousel pool“ is aerated with surface aerators. Some of the aggregates are older than 30 years and have a  huge power consumption. During the further planning, all other areas, such as secondary clarifier, inlet area and sludge treatment, will also be renewed around the new conception of a new activation.
