Energy efficiency a very high demand!

The town of Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, which lies at the foot of the hills of Teutoburger forest, operates a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) with a capacity of around 60,000 inhabitants (P.E). The sewage treatment plant is to be energetically optimized to a large extent in the next few years. In this context, a new CHP plant and further PV systems are to be planned and implemented in order to achieve this goal.

The task is to set up a comprehensive load management, in which a comparison of an optimized CHP operation, with optimal CHP size, the predicted power output from the PV system, a necessary battery storage system and the size of the gas storage is to be created. All renewable energy generation equipment is to be used exclusively for the WWTP's own power generation in order to maximize the current 54% self-sufficiency rate. Furthermore, the low-voltage main distribution (LVDC) and the transformer are also to be renewed.

We were commissioned with this exciting planning task via our branch office in Bonn and are looking forward to working with all parties involved in the town of Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock.
